The day has finally arrived! We are so excited you will join us as we represent WMSFA in Caufield’s 11th Annual Halloween Parade on Friday, October 10th. Here’s some information you will need to know:
- WHERE TO MEET: The meeting/assembly area will be the parking lots of Diamond Billards and Pub (630 Barret Avenue). Make sure you go to the Highlands location, NOT St. Matthews! You may also park your car along Barrett between Broadway and Lexington Road. Once parked, look for the large group of WMSFA students/staff congregating around a graveyard-themed float.
- WHEN TO MEET: Please arrive with your student at 5 PM so we have plenty of time to practice and apply zombie makeup before the parade begins.
- WHO CAN ATTEND: All current WMSFA students with signed permission slips may participate in the parade. Family members and/or former WMSFA students do not need to submit a permission slip in order to join the festivities.
- WHAT TO BRING: Please wear two old t-shirts that you don’t mind getting stained/ripped, as well as old jeans/shorts. We will have 2 hours before the parade begins to apply makeup and practice the dance. Some staff members have donated fake blood, liquid latex, and face paint to transform our students into ghouls, so you do not need to purchase your own. Additional donations are always welcome!
- WHEN/WHERE TO PICK UP: The parade ends at Mid-City Mall (1250 Bardstown Road). Trophies will be presented outside of O’Shaes at 926 Baxter Avenue following the parade. You do not have to attend the trophy ceremony and may leave the parade after checking in with a WMSFA staff member.
